Origin of the Kraichgau - Fahnenschwinger Bretten e.V.

In February 2007, several young people interested in flag throwing approached Stefan and Roswitha Cantatori.
What to do? We gathered information from the Baden-Württemberg State Association of Flag Throwers and invited the parents of all interested young people to an information evening.
After a brief discussion, the idea of founding a new club emerged. At subsequent meetings, the club's goals were defined, and the name "Kraichgau Flag Throwers Bretten" was chosen.…

The founding members all agreed to establish a pure flag-waving group and not to form a marching band or fanfare corps.

The association "Kraichgau-Fahnenschwinger Bretten e.V." was founded on May 12, 2007. The association's goals are:

  • the cultivation of flag waving in all its diversity,
  • intensive youth work, as well as
  • participation in competitions and championships.

The flag throwers are also expected to showcase their skills at public appearances and events, delighting audiences with their performances.

Our club attire, worn for performances, consists of a black polo shirt with the club emblem, black trousers, and black shoes. Black or white gloves complete the look.

The active flag throwers, who come from Bretten and the surrounding area, are trained by Roswitha and Stefan Cantatori.

To get closer to their goals, the members meet once a week for training and participate in courses offered by the Baden-Württemberg State Association of Flag Throwers once or twice a year. Youth work also has a firm place in our club:
youth camps during school holidays, day trips, and other joint activities are an integral part of our club life.

The club has four trained youth leaders.

I hope, dear readers, that we have been able to bring you a little closer to the goals of the „Kraichgau-Fahnenschwinger“.
